Re: Beef with Rising Sun and Assiniboine
The differences are;
Different material,
Stronger metal retaining spring,
A third lip for oil retention,
Outer coating of seal case more pliable (aids in the seal staying in place)
Locally produced.

Re: Intermittent electrical/alternator issue... any thoughts
Sad but true the alternator might have given up the ghost, when I had my truck oiled last fall my dash lights started to flicker also. My quick fix was spraying the alternator down with Brake Clean, spray inside where the armature and brushes are located see if you can dislodge any particulate that ...

Re: Beef with Rising Sun and Assiniboine
Pulling the seal was my choice you are right. Here is my statement back to you "If the seal is leaking to the point that you can see a spray of oil coming from the cog on the front of the shaft, would you not pull it and see if you could get a number to cross reference", so yes it was my c...

Re: Beef with Rising Sun and Assiniboine
Possibly I did talk to someone else, I called the main number that I found when I googled his company. Well I am an adult, if I was wrong then I feel the need to apologize. I understand that they need to make a profit in todays world, but since when has helping your fellow man/woman fallen by the wa...
