Zero electrical power
Well, gotta give up. Everything looks fine but I’ve run out of time.. it’ll have to sit this winter out, again, and get towed to my work-place in the spring. I’m personally betting it’s the battery relay.. I gave it a few good whacks but no luck. Oh well.
Gotta start cutting wood.

Zero electrical power
All the plugs in the battery bay seem connected.. I’d bet they’d take a lot of work to pry apart since I doubt they’ve ever even separated.
Ill have to try tracing lines tomorrow.

Zero electrical power
Howdy, So, long time since I’ve been on here.. I had to park my ‘91 l300 2 years ago due to some mechanical reasons. Then life got busy and complicated. But now I’ve found time to give my van some well deserved love as a winter project.. just have to get it to my garage at work. I bought a new batte...

1991 L300 manual transmission
I am selling my old 5 speed manual transmission off a 1991 L300. It would need to be rebuilt. It's located in Saskatoon but I am willing to ship if required, or drive it somewhere close by. 200.00$ obo. Could consider a trade for something cool. This will be on sale untill the new year then it's off...

Crankcase vent/breather
Just like the title.. is there a crankcase vent on the L300? I know there's a vent on the valve cover that connects to the air intake.. what I'm wondering is there a vent somewhere on the bottom end for the block? I've oil leaking out of everywhere on this van.. rear crank seal (which I'd just repla...

Re: Dorothy the Delica Timing belt - the start of my saga.
It is an interference engine.
Since you were already planning on doing the head gasket anyways..you'll be able to check and see if there was any damage done.
Did the engine just go from 3000rpm right to 0 with strange sounds or shudders? Or did it just smoothly drop down to 0?

Muffler work in Saskatoon
Hey,
Can anyone here (Firesong?) recommend a muffler shop in Saskatoon? Mine is shot. I'm planning on switching to a 2.5" pipe and maybe come out the side, and after a search here it seems like Magna Flow is the way to go.

Re: Pyrometer temps
I think my overall fuel screw on the injector pump is set too high.. but I've done some adjustments and a quarter turn back means it almost has to be floored in order to keep highway speed. Quarter turn is too much. Also, more diesel doesn't guarantee more power, just as less diesel doesn't guarant...

Re: Water in fuel light
I've heard that with aircraft fuel this can occasionally happen. But I think the fuel has to sit for a good long time.Jedidiahwiebe wrote:
Any chance the dye is water soluble too? Maybe the colour is leaking into the water in your water trap. I dunno.

Re: Help with serpentine belt issue
Thanks vstrom So it looks like the balance belt is the one snapped, no idea when as I have not owned the vehicle long and noticed "no issue" anyone out there have any idea of possible or probable damage to the engine with a snapped belt (belt B). The vehicle runs with no obvious signs but...

Re: Help with serpentine belt issue
Dude I think you better just re-do the whole timing belt.. Both of them. I don't really understand how there's a piece of belt there that's broken and the engine runs! Also, it looks like the belt is almost falling off cam pulley at the top of your picture! I wouldn't drive it.. or even turn it over...

Re: '93 L300 whirring sound in rear axle
If I remember right .. Initially I tried motomaster 75w90. That quieted it down for a few days then it started to make noise again. I tried adding a recommended addictive (I can't remember what it was.. I'll see if I still have the bottle) from napa.. But that didnt help. I was looking at ripping th...
