Re: Safety Rating Information/Crash Safety Reports
Well... we'd all like to think we are superior drivers. Poll anyone behind the wheel and they'll tell you they are better than the average driver. So who is the average driver? I definately agree with you that there are no accidents but a whole lot of collisions. As much as visibility is a factor in...

Re: Circulating Rad Heater vs. Block Heater
Thanks, good stuff. As for the cats... well I'm a dog person. Quite familiar with the phenom of winter cats here in Edmonton. Is synthetic the norm for Delica Drivers or what?

Re: Expected Mechanical etc on Import?
I'm more than a little attached to the cruiser. Based on how it's geared out... not to insult you but... it's probably valued at about the price of 2 top end Delica's. Sorry. Did you find that link on safety info?

Don't see a link...
It seems that everyone here has a 90 or newer. Was that a major model change year or something??? Anything wrong with an 89 or older?

Circulating Rad Heater vs. Block Heater
I've never worked on or installed a block heater and am wondering if it would be easier to just install a circulating heater and battery blankets (like in my cruiser) in a Delica. Seeking input/opinions/tech advice.

Re: Expected Mechanical etc on Import?
Thanks for all the good info guys. Now... the sales pitch to my wife. Safety is an issue of concern. Is there any hard and fast evidence I can present? She's concerned about not having the engine and compartment for protection in a collision as well as side impact. If I can convince her of the safet...

Expected Mechanical etc on Import?
Can anyone answer a few basics for me as I am close to taking the Delica plunge... Is the delica a 12 or 24 volt system? Can anyone give me the final answer on what it can realistically be expected to do on the highway? Is a tranny cooler necessary as some have suggested? It has on-board GPS. Any id...

I'm looking at a Delica for the family veh. Dynamics recently changed... kid is here. I drive a 1989 Toyota HJ61 Land Cruiser (DIESEL!) and love it for it's purposes but my wifes P.O.S. Chev Corsica is starting to cost us a lot. We need a little around town fam. wagon and the Delica seems a sensible...
