Re: Parting out Delica

2 weeks after getting my Deli, some meth addict (I'm only assuming!) broke into my driver side door, now I need a new door lock. I've been going through my sliding door for 7 months now. Do you have one available? Failing that - does anybody know if it has to be a Delica locking mechanism, or can it...

Re: Delica Parts List

You can also find these glow plugs on ebay:

Ford # E5TZ12A342A - Motorcraft part ZD6 6.2v flast-glo jobs - same as MD092392, Greentops.

usually around $10 for the set from ebay user "delcodiesel"

They're even stamped with the Mitsubishi logo!

A little winterizing, and you might still be able to make the Bering Strait ice-bridge between Kamchatka and Alaska! THAT would be one hell of a trip!

My leak is definitely coming from the window seal. During the heavy rain lately, I can see drips coming off the passenger side grab handle!

I'm going to take my deli to a shop to have them fix it.

My leak seems to be coming from the windscreen seal too, not from the poorly welded seam. I noticed a patch of wetness on the inside of my window, running down the pillar (window frame), and I guess it's enough in this insipid weather to pool in the passenger side footwell. Well, at least that's sol...

Hey Surferboy! I've already had two people say they saw my van, but it must have been you! Once on Fort St., and another time on the Malahat. One other guy driving a white Deli toasted me with his coffee mug as he drove by. It's like owning a Harley or something ... but way, way cooler. I got the wh...

Good tip, Bruce. I wish I had read that before digging into my 1/4 panel the other day. Those fricken screws - especially the one just under the window seal - ate up a good hour or more trying to get it loosened enough to remove it to just inspect the panel (but without success! My back was aching f...

Hey Paul

It came with the Deli.

I can take some photos of how it's mounted around the spare if you like.

soaked floors on both sides

Yup - I got my van and it hasn't seen too many dry days. Both foot-wells are wet - especially the passenger side. I attempted to remove one of my body panels and ran into some siezed self-tapping screws (painted & baked hard), which easily stripped. I just picked up a Canadian Tire stripped scre...

DRL kit not required

Got my VIN plate installed, inspected and insured - finally!! The VIN plate only took two days from Vancouver - miracles do happen. I asked my inspector/mechanic to install the DRL kit, which ended up not being necessary. He made some connections to the fusebox, soldered, fused correctly, so when th...

Check out tyeeimports.ca - in my searching for a local importer, they came up. I didn't deal with them, but they're in Campbell River. Local enough for you?

The kits come with the bare minimum amount of wire for a standard vehicle/truck, so I assume I'll need more wire to do the job, since the Delica battery(ies) are located about 5-6 feet away (by wire) from the left headlight assembly. Did I answer my own question here, or did you manage with the 2' l...

Other headlight solutions?

Instead of buying a $350 set of lights (E), has anyone had success - or is it possible even - mounting a high-low combination light/lens where the high-beam resides?

OR - how about mounting external headlights on the bush bar?

Just trying to look at all options.

napa DRL kit

I came across the same thing today. I have a 91 Deli I drove bought from a guy in Calgary, but I need to get the DRL installed. Can. Tire's version does say not for Mitsubishi, so I went to Napa looking for filters ($29 minimum) and a DRL kit. $80 plus taxes. The kits says "not for use in vehic...
