Re: Strange tire wear...what could be causing it??

Thanks for the replies. I'll keep on top of rotating tires with my next set of tires...I didn't with these ones. I'll look into the control arm bushings. Besides the funky tire wear, is there some kind of test that can be done to confirm whether it's the lower or upper and lower control arm bushings...

Strange tire wear...what could be causing it??

Hello all, I searched the Delica.ca forums for the last few days, but haven't found an answer that describes the strange tire wear that our 1993 L300 is experiencing. We got these BF Goodrich All Terrain's (235 75R15 LT) installed in late 2008 when we got the van...that was 70,000km ago. Had the sho...

Re: Japanese Motorhomes

The guy that I got my Delica from sold an Isuzu turbo diesel 5-speed based Japanese motor a few years back. That thing was pretty cool. I believe the owner of it has put on a crap-load of KMs on it driving it quite literally all over North America. I don't have any interior shots, but as I recall, i...

Re: japanese tires

Your tires need a load rating or a DOT stamp on the sidewall or they are a no-go, is the last I heard. Since those tires are from Japan, there won't be a DOT stamp, but make sure there is a load rating written on the sidewall.

Re: Hello fom Vernon

Excellent to see another Vernon Delica on board here. I have dealt recently with J-Cruisers for some Delica parts and it sure was handy having some of the parts I needed stocked locally. See you around town. Make sure to wave back though...my wife and I find that L400's are hit and miss as far as ge...

It is a boost and vacuum gauge, similar to the one I put in my car several years ago. Unlike the gas powered car, the diesel never dips into the vacuum part of the gauge.

Re: Pyro and Boost gauge - what kind and where did you mount

Nice knees. Arron TM , I like your arrangement, right in the control zone. Are you thinking of putting some sort of housing around the rear parts of the gauges? Falco. Haha, thanks Falco. Unfortunately, that pod is in fact open at the back, as you noticed. I may add something to the back one day, b...

Re: Pyro and Boost gauge - what kind and where did you mount

Well, I can finally respond to my own post that I started some time ago. It took me long enough, but I now have a boost gauge and pyrometer installed in the Delica. Sorry about the crappy cell phone photos. I'll try and swap them out with photos taken with a real camera sometime. What I did was pick...

Re: NSR6 Bike Rack Opinions?

I haven't seen an NSR6 bike rack on the back of a Delica...but because that rack is wide and the Delica is narrow, there may be a chance that the outside bikes partly block the tail lights. Might be worth looking into before committing to that particular model. Having a North Shore Rack does make fo...

Re: NSR6 Bike Rack Opinions?

I went with an E&H hitch and NSR-4 North Shore rack...made for an expensive trip to the coast, but I am quite happy with that combo on our L300. http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4072/4655169052_53ca554819.jpg http://farm2.staticflickr.com/1135/4725817431_43250f5a46.jpg http://farm2.staticflickr.com...

Re: Metal Fabrication / Skid plates - ***Drawings***

Well count me in as interested if we do some sort of group fabrication. I like the idea of a mitsu-maple or something on the plate - I'm sure more airflow holes to that rad, the better too. Keep me posted, cheers! -Steve I'd also be interested to know the price of one of these skid plates all forme...

Re: Okanagan new year meet!

Hopefully the snow won't be too bad, if we decide to do the loop from King Edward Forestry road into Oyama in late April. On the plus side, there will be multiple vehicles, in case someone got stuck. :M Thanks Falco. You're certainly welcome to head up this way, once another event has been planned.

Re: Okanagan new year meet!

Well Al, you'll be pleased to hear that I wasn't the only one there :-) It was great meeting up with Larry and Dennis again as well as meeting Fishtank, albeit, without his Delica that day. Here are a couple photos that I snapped just as Larry and I were about to head back down after our little 4x4 ...

Re: Okanagan new year meet!

I'll bring my two radios as well. See you at 1pm in Westbank.

(I'd like an L300 air filter, Dennis, if you could bring it along as well) :M
