Re: No squirt

hi simon, yup, ip's are black holes in the space time continuum. i know there are 2 separate filters inside the ip, unable to access without dismantling. these clog. if you do take yrs apart, be super organised, there are some tiny bits that look reversible but are actually slightly different sizes ...

Re: Cold start issues

The advice from the others is great, and do follow konadogs advice fully. How cold is it there for you now. if greater than 10 degree C, then problem is more than glow plugs. we can usually start a l300 without glow plugs at temps higher than 10. My advice is a dead coolant sensor, always in septemb...

Re: No Start

We need totroubleshoot. my hunch is wiring since you have nothing and no ignition cllcks. If you heard engine trying to start, then would look at fuel, ip, starter. excuse my bad typing, not on normal pc, just rushing to give u advice asap. I am Christine. is it battery, without engine on, are headl...

Re: Pulsating / vibrating brakes - check your sliding pins

Last year I tried to find a caliper bolt for my L300 after the bolt fell out on the highway, I drove (my other vehicle) to every fastener shop in the lower mainland, NO LUCK. I had experts at each place measure it and then phone various suppliers (I verified that each was phoning different suppliers...

Re: Sliding Door Window Leak

hi larry, your van looks identical to my other L300 1991, same colour. I think you are the first with a window leak there (except for those with slider windows) after seeing hundreds of L300s over the years. I would spray a silicone protector that will swell rubber, I glob it on after I have cleaned...

Re: Routing coax...

Hi RG, all us radio operators have L300's, don't know of any with L400's so can't advise best location. L300 installs often as seen on Falco's photo, but we have the top of the mirror arm to mount antenna base, ooops better buy an L300. Welcome to the club. Why RG name, r u CCG or 19W? Cheers, chris...

Re: 1st long trip

Sounds like a lovely trip. I did similar a few months ago. The tillamook air museum are happy to have us park for free in their RV parking, but we moved closer to the building at night so we could plug in to electricity for the space heater and the microwave and the electric blanket. Then lovely bre...

Re: L300 5spd shift linkage

I would recommend getting to Glen at Coombs Country Autos, asap. He knows the manual delica transmission, which are quite rare, so you won't get many replies from others on this forum. As they are rare, getting parts can be difficult, so don't let it get to a catastophe stage. If you are determined ...

Re: L400 Dealer Supplied "Camping Kit" - How To?

Wow, even better than Ikea. Nope, never seen that, and we see all sorts at Delica meets. My hunch is the leftover bit sits over the flattened chairs to even out the void spaces. which then might even out the upper cushions. I would schedule a deli-meat, and offer a prize to the person who figures it...

Re: Trailer Hitches

As one of the first people to get a hitch on L300, and used it to tow rescue craft etc, and have seen herds of other hitches... Only recommend the Burnaby E&H Hitch, and Rick there is the Delica expert. He actually custom fits each delica, as he says there is often a difference depending on spar...

Very interesting looking, very zombie fighter. But my first thought is how horribly expensive those headlights are when we have to replace them here for compliance. christine.

Hey Erebus, congrats on your wonderful care of your lovely deli. Long time no see your deli in my backyard, come visit and meet my new 1997 L300 anytime (local friend bought my 1991 deli). Glad you were able to help out with the disaster communications, arent these the best Search and Rescue vehicle...

Re: Considering a 95 or newer.

I love the sturdiness of the L300, so I put up with its highway and hill hatred. In summer I baby it on hills (leave early in the morning while road is cold, stay in slow land and stare at the pyro temp religiously, ensure tires inflated, never pass anything except a cement truck). Dont like all the...
