The first picture is your steering rack bellows boot. If it's been torn for any length of time, you will probably need to replace the inner tie rod end that it protects as well. The second picture is the top of your front shock. Hope that helps!

I believe the single wire sensor disables the air conditioning compressor clutch if the engine temp gets too high.

Thanks for the comments! I live in Langford, aka 'hazard county'.... it was either the Delica to drive or the Camaro to put up on blocks in the front yard.... :-)
