Re: Captains Chairs
Do the lap belts work? Mine just pull out and don't lock. There are several different ways for belts to "lock" - based on speed of belt movement (if you jerk on the belt it locks) (this is what you are expecting) - based on the change of speed of the vehicle (this is what the delica has) ...

Re: MUST READ!
The value of the vehicle will rise considerable since you won't be able to buy them. Only if you can re-sell them, something that may become impossible. For that matter, if they can make a case to ban new registrations, it's not much of a stretch to ban already registered vehicles. If the ban sprea...

Re: Why do you import JDM Pajeros?
You're telling me every feature in the Pajero was also in the Montero around here? I'll take your word for it, but the Pajero's I've seen have been pretty fully loaded, the Monteros however not so much. As for RHD. I stand by my assertion that all other things being equal, RHD is safer than LHD. The...

Re: Help to confirm odometer mileage?
The only importer in Canada that I know of that offers true mileage logged JDM's is Wayne @ Luxury Imports. He used to be based in Calgary but moved to Ontario I believe. He has no better information to go on than any other importer does. Just because he CLAIMS that every other importer deals in ro...

Re: Why do you import JDM Pajeros?
It all depends what that particular diesel was designed for, diesels they put in cars ARE designed for speed, I had an old Mercedes turbo-diesel, and at 180kph there was still lots of room in the pedal (if not in my own risk tolerance!) Diesels put in to SUVs and trucks though are designed for raw p...

Re: Black L300 @ 22 station in Calgary
That's got to be the guy I left a note on up in panorama hills a year or 2 ago... (it was a pop-top delica with a fire-fighter's sticker on the rear window) he did pop on here after I did that, but I can't remember the guy's name on here, or even if he is still on here...

For anyone who hasn't seen the mythbusters "walk on water" episode: http://kwc.org/mythbusters/2007/04/episode_78_ninja_myths_walking.html Not surprisingly, it was "busted" I used to walk on water all the time at my grandparent's cottage on a lake near montreal... they had these...

perhaps a better question would be "what fabric are the walls of the tent made from?"

Re: When did Mitsubishi implement ODB for Delicas?
Diesel L300 delicas from the early 90s, as far as I can tell, don't have any ODB anything, this is because they don't have any on board computer to diagnose. they are all mechanical.

Re: what's up with my clock?
Please clarify what you mean by "clock won't set" for further fault-finding assistance. i set the clock via the "H" and "M" buttons, and two hours later, its' the same time i set it at. :? so, it sets fine, but it simply never registers the passage of time? check to ma...

Re: reassurances and/or reality checks for a potential owner
If one was to spend that money and get one from Mardy or comparable, would it be reasonable to expect that I had a "reliable" ride and could get by with regular maintenance and the odd minor issue that wouldnt likely result in neccessitating the vehicle being unusable for periods of time?...

Re: RHD Rant
the times columnist has been very anti-RHD in the past, they've run these sorts of anti-rhd articles several times.
They have implied when contacted in the past that they wouldn't do anything pro-rhd because of the $$$ CADA members spend advertising in their paper...

so why is it that the pro-rhd reply gets buried in with a hundred other letters, but the anti-rhd reply gets it's own page?
