Had a similar problem with my Niva, turns out that it was dust buildup and lack of diode grease in the switch itself. Clean and repack cured that. Other than that I second the potential relay issue.

Mattracks makes these tracks for most vehicles, with some mechanical know how they take about an hour to install. They look like a blast, and are supposed to reduce your footprint quite substantially.

I would advise against undercoating a n older vehicle unless you plan to strip everything out and sandblast all areas of the undercarriage. Worse case scenario is you undercoat over hidden "cancers" and will not be able to see the rot until its far too late or costly to repair. I would not...

I used to tow a similar tent trailer behind my Bronco 2, to get a bit of lift I had repositioned the axle below the springs rather than above. Gave me a few extra inches of clearance and provided a little better distribution to tongue weight.

Without inserting personal opinion on aesthetics, I would say that one major difference would be off road capabilities. The overhang on front and rear look look like they would be very detrimental to approach/departure angles.
