I cannot seem to figure out how to link pictures from photobucket onto Delica.ca. This forum does not like IMG links. I will copy the link to the original thread so you guys can see what I've been up to with this new handful of mine. Sometimes you eat the bar and sometimes the bar eats you. The bar ...

Turning an L300 into an Overland Vehicle
Original Thread here: http://www.delicaforum.com/index.php?threads/turning-an-l300-into-an-overland-vehicle.25/ My beloved L300 came into my life last year and was immediately slept in. That following morning I decided to build it into a proper camp machine. A friend of mine, Eric, who owns a fabric...

Delica cold start problems, if not glow plugs then what else?
I just had this happen for the first time yesterday. Insane clicking during warm operation. I'm opening up the ecu next weekend to look at it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk Hey! Ya, I had mind apart and noticed an 'area' of discolouring, I cleaned it up a bit but couldn't determine a...

Delica cold start problems, if not glow plugs then what else?
Hey, classic issue so it seems. I have the same terrible cold starts. Just to confirm, with the manual setup, all we want to do is drop the switch along the signal wire from ports B OR E? Should we have a fusible link in the way? 10A? Also, to add to this, my relays go mental after the van is warme...

Thanks guys. Sylquebec, definitely wasn't THAT cold - about 28f/-2C. Spewed lots of black smoke in the process. Got quite a few dirty looks in the parking lot of a ski resort :-). It is my 1st diesel and I do realize that they are a different beast when starting cold (glad i hvae the 2 battery setu...

Hello from Minnesota Dontcha Know!
Hi all, I'm flying in to Vancouver Monday, March 6th at which point I will be the proud father of a 1991 Delica Exceed! I have been crazed with the idea of owning a Delica for about a year, which coincidentally is about how long my wife has been completely irritated with me! :-D It was also long en...

Just performed this mod. I feel a slight amount of lower end power increase. Mainly the coolant temp gauge is higher during cruise. I assume because of the additional fueling. I'll tell you one thing; the higher EGTs must have cleaned out some soot because it runs awesome now.

Vacuum Solenoid Relay
Easy fix. Grab yourself some qbond. Now remove the section of plastic nipple from the hose end and qbond it back on to the solenoid following the glue's instructions. It'll never break again. And you've saved yourself from buying a new solenoid.
