Re: buy tommoro

This is exactly why the "Big Three" are so scared of these vehicles in Canada and especially why the dealers in BC are trying to get the 15yr-rule changed to 25yrs - THEY CAN'T COMPETE WITH THE DELICA L300s!!!!! (wait until the L400s are going to be available in a couple years' time 2010?)...

Re: New Baby

Welcome to the club!

Agreed - white looks so cool on these vehicles. That's why we're calling ours the "Moon Machine" (cause it looks like something from the space program).

First trip and a question about the 'box'

So we made our first road trip up-Island to where we had purchased our SECLR from in Parksville/Coombs. Met with Glenn and was thoroughly impressed with his operation at Coombs. Wanted to take another Delica off his hands, but I think we should pay for this one first. Or maybe a Pajero. Anyway, forg...

Greetings to you, Bowen Island

And welcome too. It's interesting to note how many BCers on islands are buying these things. As if we weren't different enough from the rest of the country living on the continent, but we've got to drive something totally different from everyone else! Have all the other six people on the island aske...

Re: Canoe mounting ideas?

What most have neglected to mention, unless you have a particularly squat Delica, is that you are going to have begin your canoe mounting idea with a ladder. :-P Regardless, I wouldn't put it on the glass either, even with foamies. 'Twould be a shame to have to try to replace. Get yourself some roof...

Re: Delica Meet 2008

My wife and I are most definitely ready to attend a proposed DelicaMeet in '08. In fact, we'd rather do this than going on a cruise to Alaska with family. Now we've got a reason to explain why we haven't yet booked cabins on the ship! We like the April-May time-frame. That way it's not too hot, but ...

Re: Mtn Van Photos

Wow! You're roof rack is even bigger than ours! Ours is only 2m long - what's yours, 2.5m? Good thing you got the ladder on the back, otherwise it would make it difficult to get things in and out of it. We took ours off until we need it (and until we get a ladder for the back door).

Re: Newbie from Langford, BC

Sorry Glen, guess it was Robb who said he'd not seen one of those boxes before. Spoke with Jack yesterday, indicated that I would be up this Saturday to drop off some papers, and that I wanted to come out to your shop to get the list of things you did. Also wanted to get the mufller hanger adjusted ...

Re: Belated hello

Just noticed that you're talking about a get-together in the Duncan area - how about this weekend? We're coming up to drop off the transfer papers to 5 Star in Parksville on Saturday, but maybe on Sunday (the 23rd) we could drive back up to the Duncan area for a bit of a toodle down whatever dirt ro...

Newbie from Langford, BC

Greetings all! After a couple of months of research, drooling and pining, and finally making a decision to ditch our Ford Windstar, we're in! Well, we bought a Delica anyways. I guess acceptance into the group comes later. We bought our white-on-white SECLR from 5 Star Autos / Coombs Country Auto in...
