Thanks Butch for organizing this, and thanks Christine for spreading the word!
I'm definitely going to come (just me this time).
Cheers,
Mark

Forum Downtime
Many of you will have encountered an error message over the past 36 hours while attempting to visit this forum. Unfortunately, we had an "upgrade gone bad" while moving to the latest version of the forum software. Forum is now operational once more (and sholuldd remain that way), but thing...

Re: Are Delica stickers still available?
Hey all, and Merry Christmas! As Falco was mentioning, the "Flag" design was a Vancouver Island initiative (and a very cool one too!) If there is enough interest however, and if the original creators are fine with our use of the artwork, we could certainly have a batch of these made up (we...

Re: Globe and Mail article
I still don't understand why they won't let people import vehicles when North American manufacturers absolutely refuse to make the products people want. There's only one explanation but it goes by two names: People who are not in the auto retail business call it "Protectionism" People who...

Re: Globe and Mail article
I don't disagree with you Radargirl and Patrice - the story does give an unbalanced picture. However, in my view the cause of this imbalance isn't the reporter. The imbalance came from the Anti-RHD Crusader who was interviewed. It would certainly be nice if objective reporting always led to the trut...

Re: Globe and Mail article
The story leans a bit too heavily on the "Automotive Backlash" angle. I don't fault the reporter - objective journalism requires that he gather opinions from both sides. Some opinions should focus on the joys that come from Delica ownership; other opinions should focus on any relevant conc...

Re: Delica Canada Meet 7:00 Wednesday June 25th 2014
Wednesday the 25th sounds good for me - won't be able to get there quite for 7:00, but should be along shortly after (7:30-8:00ish).
Cheers,

Re: Kitchen spammers????
Thanks for this! The proposed mod is a useful way to discourage "signature link" spam (the practice of increasing SEO backlinks through forum posts), but I'm not sure that it would reduce this particular type of "kitchen spam". External links from Delica.ca (such as signature lin...

Re: a/t light flickering when hot/idling
I have a 94 SWB L400, and am having similar troubles with my A/T light coming on. Usually happens when under heavier load (e.g., climbing moderate grade highway), but sometimes for no apparent reason (this morning came on when cruising at 40kph downhill).
AT fluid level appears fine.

Re: additives
I was curious about the pros (and perhaps cons?) of additives, and happened upon the following comparison posted on the Diesel Place forums (products ranked in accordance with lubricity): Lubricity Additive Study Personally, I use Stanadyne Performance Formula (which came in at #12 according to the ...

Re: Battery Hold Down Options? (L400 Double Battery)
Thank you fredt and Big-Bird - You are quite right fredt that moving the batteries around led to much more clearance between the posts and strap. I wasn't too comfortable driving around with loose battery either, so I cleaned up the rusty end, wrapped it up well with electrical tape, and re-installe...
