Nice spotties up front 8-)
Thanks, it's working well. I really prefer the skinny tires, they dig in like crazy. I ordered the longer shocks, the stock length Pro-Comps are topping out. If anyone needs a set of used front Pro-Comp shocks, they can have them for the price of shipping. Just pay it forward to someone in the future.

is there such thing as a LOWERING kit?
Cause I'd like my next Deli to be 2-3" shorter than my last one.

I typed in lowered in the search box and got some good results :

David (delicat) did this to his last L300. :M

I am Howard Sam, I am a Guyanese, I live in Guyana,
I imported the first Delica Spacegear Model PC5W to Guyana in 2005
I also imported the PF6W, PF8W, PD8W. At present i have a PF8W and I am making the components
to lift it 3".
(1) I would like to know the height or thickness of the spacer for the Sub frame.
(2) What is ment by indexing the leaf springs?
(3) Where does the angle spacer fits on the leaf springs and what does the angle spacer looks like

Well... Jfarsang comes through again! During the process of purchasing my new L400 from Mardy, I sent a barrage of questions and requests to Jfarsang in hopes of having a lift put in the Deli before I picked it up for the first time. Unfortunately the timing didn't work out as Christmas was upon us. Mardy had mentioned that there was already a mild lift in it because of the aftermarket rear springs which left me unsure of whether a lift would be needed or even do-able given the components already on the van. Jesse was extremely kind and went to look over the van for me as I live in Calgary and after some discussion we concluded one of his lifts would work very well. More questions sent... then more... I am very analytical... :?

Sooo... after a bit of waiting and a road trip to Calgary after Christmas, Zevra was admitted into the cosmetic surgery bay at Kirkham Automotive in Calgary. The guys at Kirkham let her sit in the bay for a day to get accustomed to her surroundings then, first thing on Thursday, she was inspected (OOP) and then treated to a new taller stance as a result of the procedure.

I am happy to say Zevra's surgery went very well and with ease and the boys at Kirkham were again very complimentary of the components Jesse put together (this is the second one of Jesse's lifts they have done for me). I have to agree... the L400 kits are pretty nice! All said, the surgery time was 6 hours.

Jesse was incredibly patient with me the whole way too and I thank him once again for everything! You're awesome Dude! Cheers!

Here's a couple shots... in the first shot, Zevra basks in a bit of sun at my office before being admitted to Kirkham in Calgary's SW. The second shot shows Zevra back at my office this morning after being picked up from Kirkham. Haven't measured for sure but this nets me at least 3-inches over stock. Now for the 31's... :-D :-D :-D

Deli1733... Thanks for the compliments! I am always acutley aware that for every person who finds an outstanding Delica for sale, there are many who will be disappointed. I was disappointed at first as well because it was on hold twice before I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to purchase this one. All I can say is perseverance is your friend... keep checking back on the status if you find one you really like... you just never know. I firmly believe that everything works out for a reason so everyones opportunities come when they are meant to be.

After some ground clearance issues, I wanted to help my faithful companion get through trails without as much front step grinding and plate bashing so... I purchased a full L300 kit and have now had it professionally installed by a shop here in Calgary. In order to save time (thus money) I asked Jesse a number of questions so I could pass on as much information as possible to the guys at the shop. All went very well and the kit was installed and alignment done with only minor issues - none of which haven't been brought up before. I will try to summarize as best as I can but first want to give everyone a real before and after visual as the impact is lost once larger tires are added to the equation. Sooo... here's the before shot...

Kudos to Jesse for putting these together!

I only make a 2" kit for the L400. His is a little higher due to uprated springs in the rear and an adjustable panhard bar.

Thank you Samslow! As Jfarsang notes, the van already had larger aftermarket coil springs and the adjustable panhard rod and sat taller in the rear prior to installing the lift. This is pretty much as high as you can go with one of Jfarsangs kits and I would honestly say it is as high as you would likely want to go anyway. It makes a very significant difference, especially on the 400 as there is much less hanging down underneath compared to the L300's. I have now since swapped the 235/75/15 Duratracs for 31x10.5x15 Duratracs which gave me an additional inch of lift, which for this van nets at least 4 inches over stock height. I have to say it is still very stable, if not more so, with this setup. I am VERY pleased with the result. One last picture as it relates to what the ultimate result is with one of these kits... I put myself in the picture for some human scale so you can relate the height... I'm 6'-2" tall...
