Thule Roof Racks
There's probably been a thread about this somewhere, but I haven't managed to dig one up...
What I'm looking for is simple...part/model numbers for Thule roof rack base systems, specifically for L400 high roof (no Crystal Lite).
As per usual, Delicas are not listed in any online site I've looked at, so I need to go after a specific model number.
If you've got more specific information in terms of Vancouver Island dealers, that, too would be helpful.
Thanks all!

Re: Thule Roof Racks
I don't have a part number for you, but the gutter style mounted Yakima roof racks that I had on my 1988 Hyundai excel, 1991 Toyota Tercel, and 1988 Toyota 4Runner all fit perfectly on my L400 High Roof Crystal Lite...
With one exception.
The bars themselves were too low, literally touching the roof. They need the night extender modifications - a part you can order.
Thule should be exactly the same with a gutter mount type. For what it is worth, I have 6" long round roof bars.

My L400 with high roof and crystalite has a Thule footpack #953: http://www.thule.com/en-us/ca/products/ ... 953-_-1089
Matched that with 58" load bars and a ski box.

Re: Thule Roof Racks
How much overhang do you have on each end of those bars? I'd hate to get the 50" and then have it be too snug, or *gasp* too short!!Matched that with 58" load bars and a ski box.

Re: Thule Roof Racks
Bars overhang about 7" on either side with 58" bars.

Re: Thule Roof Racks
Sweet! Thanks for the pics!!
I do have two questions, though...
Also, what height feet did you get to clear the Crystal Lite? Site says you can get 5, 8, or 11". I'm thinking the 5"s won't get it done, and they look like at least 8". Is it possible you need the 11"s?

Wouldn't that mean that there are 14" of extra bar? Or is it just 7" on the one side?Bars overhang about 7" on either side

Re: Thule Roof Racks
In my case there is 46" between the two feet, so a 50" bar would protrude a couple of inches on each side. I have an 11" tall foot, and I measure a 4.5" clearance to the crystal roof at it's lowest point, so yes, at least an 8" foot height.

Re: Thule Roof Racks
Tojo, I have the same Thule racks for my L400, however, the rain gutter spacings did not allow me to mount my towers as far apart as yours are in the attached picture. Did you have to trim the base of the mounts?

Re: Thule Roof Racks
if the bars are over hanging too much, grind em off to desired length on all 4 corners and give em a quick shot of flat black paint.

Re: Thule Roof Racks
Would you be able to grab the measurement from the bottom of the gutter to the bottom of the load bar on the rear bar?? I'm going to get some pieces cut at work to make custom feet. And with that measurement, how much clearance approx is there between the bar and roof, I want mine as close as possible.
