L300 cup holder

Post by pluckmyeyeout »

I'm thinking about putting these cup holders on the sides of of the Auto transmission box/center console.

Any thoughts? I don't love how flimsy they look... But it looks like the color will match pretty close and folded up it'll be out of the way. I was thinking one on each side. Maybe I'll just get one and see how it looks. Has anyone else installed anything in that spot?

Here is what I used. I got the idea from http://dinoevo.de. Google "Tuffy Standard Drink Holder". Although it does appear that you have a cool box in the way.

I moved my window switches to the clock position. Fashioned a new insert for that spot out of plastic and vinyl added some suitable size containers for cup holders.

Voila built in solution and looks OEM. I posted it on the aussie forum.

I'll try and find the pics somewhere.

Also bicycle drink bottle holders mounted on the sides of the gear column are super useful

Yea... Silly cool box. I like that Tuffy @Cosmo727.

I think I saw that @speleokip. I like it a lot... I was just thinking about making a single insert into the square opening to the left of the switches, but I'm not very handy.

bought a double cup holder with garbage can and shelf from CT and mounted behind the tranny shifter.. works and looks great as it is the same color as the console... Cheap easy alternative to a cooler box... if you don't have one!!!

Pics? Where'd you pick it up from? I'm thinking about removing my cooler box... I don't anticipate using it much.

Got it from canadian tire.. I mounted the cup holder in front of the shifter column. Works great!!! Just looked on their website... I guess they don't carry this item anymore...
