Has anyone worked two metre upper side band?
I've just gotten off the air and I've got to say it's pretty cool.
Playing with the variables of aerial propagation is intriguing.

playing with sidebands is fun for awhile if you have friends around. usually a timing issue.

kids stuff.

Just wait until you get into HF bands below 30 MHz. nothing beats tapping into a guy overlanding in Mongolia JTA-JVZ from your radio (ICOM 706MKIIG) here in Canuck land. communicating across the globe via ham is interesting to say the least.

You talked to a guy in Mongolia with the call sign "JTA-JVZ", did you receive a QSL? How were you propagating and which route did you take?

that is the ITU prefix for Mongolia, not the single operators. It was through a marine radio crossing over the Pacific.
