Wow. That's kind of cool to see. Obviously, I also think the guy is dreaming but it would not be a stretch that someone who grew up with one and has the nostalgia bug will snap it up. Looks pretty much as described as far as the condition, though I see a crunch under one of the front doors and it makes me wonder how that happened and if anything else got bent under there. And of course everybody loves to pick on someone's car, but the underside looks rustier than mine with 100k more miles on it. Mine is from a non-salt using area here where I live. The front two wheels look like they are original and show the typical salt effect on alloys, but the rears look like he found a newer pair. I wonder what happened to need two new wheels? I don't doubt the car came from CA at some time in its life, but I wonder how long it has been in salt-infested CT? The black paint on the door tops and under the windshield look way too glossy for original, also. The original was a satin sheen and that's crazy glossy. Wonder if it was repainted, or the black itself was repainted as they all fade (mine did)? Hope he or she sell it for what they want of course - not cutting down a nice car but for that price it should be a bit more pristine example to get essentially collector pricing. I see it is over and the price did not move.

Yeah, kind of why I wanted "one of us" to nab this one is because otherwise I am sure it will begin dissolving soon. The vehicle history report indicates it entered the NE in 2010. 4-5 years is plenty of time for rust of that level to take hold. Luckily it doesn't seem very bad - wire brush, rust converter, and undercoat ought to get rid of it.

I was a little surprised with the asking price and the repairs done that the engine compartment and underside weren't cleaned up a little more but, then again, maybe that is cleaned up.

Hehehe, it just keeps getting reposted at somewhat lower starting prices. Might want to check the KBB...

Yeah, Interesting it keeps popping up. I think Ebay is probably the best bet, though Craigslist may work better to find a local buyer. Not sure how many people would drop perhaps 1000 to ship a $5000 van. I just looked over the pictures and was again surprised how much rust under it, and in the shot with the engine hatch up. Mine has 3 times the miles and the undercarriage does not have rust like that. I suspect it has been in the NE for a long time and somebody used it as a winter car with all the salt on the roads up there. I hope it goes to a good home!
