Re: Delicars L300
Can you give us more information about your front seats.
What Recaro model is it?
Can you open the engine-hood without any problems?
Is the seating position higher than stock?
Do you need any special brackets or is it a straight fit?

I bought these second hand at the 4WD shop due to the colour. They are a brown/hazel colour full suede material (suits my interior). Shop owner says they were made by Recaro for a specific model of porsche back in the 1980's and Recaro have not made any like this ever since.
The Recaro Model of the seats are the 'older' style without the sticking out shoulder pads like the newer style ones and they have the 'net' headrest.
I can open the engine hood just like the original seats can and they do sit a little higher up.
I did not fit these myself as I had paid the 4WD shop extra $ to fit them.
I left the Deli there in the morning and came back to collect it in the afternoon, all I know is that the guy had cut the original runners off the old seats and welded them on the Recaros.
There were a few problems with clearance as I had to take the adjustable knob off the door side for the door to close properly (I adjust the seat with the inner knob because these Recaros have an adjustable knob on the inside and out) and even now I still have to close the door a little hard for it to close properly.

One more thing, once you fit Recaro or 'bucket' style seats to your L300, the steering wheel is off center from the center of the seat which means it is to the left of your knees.

Re: Delicars L300
My steering wheel is offset with the standard seats in. Maybe it's just more noticeable with the Recaros? It took me a while to figure this out as I had to line the steering column up with the centre of the seat but as the seats don't hold you in all that well I suppose I just sit at a bit of an angle without really noticing.

That is interesting...
I think you maybe right because I had never noticed the steering wheel offset when I had the original seat but the first time I sat in the 'bucket' seats I had noticed the offset and wondered to myself 'so how did that happen? Was the original seats offset to the rails to make it center with the steering wheel somehow?' But I had checked and the original seat was not offset and the rails were just normal.... So maybe the original seat is offset then... (Design flaw by Mitsubishi?)

Nope, the rails aren't offset and if I concentrate on sitting straight forwards in the seat, the column is almost in line with my left leg. Because there is so much room to move and because I like to lean against the door while driving I barely notice it at all though.Delicar 300 wrote:nxski wrote:My steering wheel is offset with the standard seats in.
