Canadian $ versus ¥

I've noticed that the Canadian beaverback has gotten quite lofty in today's global currency markets, has this translated into any savings for the importation of vehicles? I suppose it wouldn't affect the ones already at dealers here but does it not stand to reason that, given current trends continue, eventually this will translate into savings on importing a vehicle?
Nothing like 2-3 years ago, but getting better anyhow.
