Never thought it would happen, but I came across a forum mem

So tonight after a busy day with my family on Cape Cod my oldest son and I headed home from the campground we are staying at this week. On our way back, what to my wondering eyes do I see, but a rhd Delica on the interstate? I pulled up along side to give a thumbs up but I don't think the driver saw me. Thinking quick I pulled on to the emergency lane and let it pass. I told my son that I was going to see if the van got off the interstate soon, and if so I would flag him down. Sure enough it did get off the very next exit. I flagged him down at a traffic light and asked him if he could pull over at the nearest gas station. He agreed and that was when I met our very own moderator nxski.

He could not have been any nicer to this crazy American that flagged over a stranger at a traffic light! I am sure I made him late for whatever he was supposed to be doing, and for that I am sorry Nick! I know my friends and family will think I am weird but meeting Nick, and seeing his van was very exciting to me!

Hopefully we can meet up again before he moves on to his next adventure. I would love him to see my van even though it isn't nearly as cool as his!

Thanks again Nick! I hope you won't hold my love for the Bruins against me?

What a neat coincidence. I had a great time meeting up and talking about vehicles. I'm definitely hoping we can see each other again before I leave. I'm staying in Onset for 2 or 3 nights and then I head into Boston. Let me know when you're free and hopefully we can get the 2 vans together. Also, I can post the picture of you or you and your son in front of the van up here if that's alright with you!?

I just got back from a week in the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State-- literal within sight of Victoria where there's a Delica on every corner. People down there were going absolutely ApeSh*T over the van-- guys were yelling approval from their monster trucks, BMW drivers were swerving off the road to ogle, and every vehicle passing our campsite at Salt Creek County park were slowing down to stare. I have never fielded so many questions and compliments. I loved it! (kinda brought me back to when we first got our Deli and it was one of the first ones around here).

Hey that's me,and my garage full of Mazdas. I really had a great time visiting with you Nick. You seemed like a long lost friend even though we just met. I am hoping that someday I can do a trip like yours, but it will have to wait until my kid are grown,and I retire I suppose. Maybe by then I can get a real Deli in the states.

Hey, I just noticed there is a subtle little Bruins logo in that pic of the vans outside my garage for all you 'nucks fans. Look on my license plate. I know I am making friends left and right around here? Still a fun picture. It is almost like my van is hoping to grow up someday, and be like Nick's.

For the record I do like the Canucks, and do own maybe 5-6 Canucks jerseys from over the years. Heck I may even own more 'nucks jerseys than Bruins(don't know how that has happened, but I did have a friend give me a bunch of jerseys recently with 3-4 being Canucks). They are my favorite Western Conference team.

I'm really having a hard time believing your story, Mazdax... grins, I just can't see a Boston Bruins fan liking the Canucks. Although I gotta say: Ironically, the better of our goalies is from "Bwaston".
