Black L400 Christmas day, Banff East Gate

Around noon, you may recall almost striking my emergency services vehicle that had red (which means 'emergency services vehicle' in case your driver education course has gotten rusty) redirect and emergency lights flashing that was parked on the shoulder and slightly protruding into the icy driving lane. That would normally be your hint to slow down, and change lanes as you pass the scene. That would minimize your chances of striking the elk standing in the ditch about to bolt out in front of eastbound traffic. As you stayed in your lane, and did not slow down, you are lucky I was too busy to record your plate.
