Pete we're headed to harrison first then up to pemberton on the back roads. 7pm is a fine time but we're going to weaver lake for friday night then up towards pemberton with the hot spring on the way.

We're open late!

Hello Pete and Jackie,
Remember that if you're in the car and you want to just keep driving Friday night, all the way to Weaver Lake, you can absolutely arrive at whatever time you get there. We will have the key... Hmmm 7:00 o'clock boat, 8:30 in Horseshoe Bay.... out the #1 to Abbotsford and the #11 junction by about 10:00, allow a little time to stumble 'round the backroads a bit and you could be in camp by 11:00. You would miss your Saturday coffee gig but you would see the Harrison-Lilloet road.

Awww thanks you guys, but its better that we go up 99 as we can see my sister and nephew in Pemby Fri nite. The other way round with a Sunday stop in Pemby isnt going to fly with the ferries and school/work schedule. I know, double crossing ulterior motivist, yeah yeah, But I still love ya all! P.S. Bruce really is allergic to caffeine, he swells up and goes bang!

It will be great to see you no matter how you ge there, I am slightly worried that on the off chance the road all the way through is impassable we may run into trouble meeting up with you. Just something to consider, I don't know if it will be an issue but it sure would be no fun if it was.

Hey Delicanuck, could you post directions to camp friday night?

I'll make some copy maps of the BC backroad book for anyone who gets lost. If you dont have a BC backroad map... get one, there great and will not only come in handy on this trip. availble at a gas station/ outdoor store near you.

West vs East

Hey make sure you go from Harrison up the West side of the lake eh? The east side appears more enticing at a glance but looks like it Peters out near a penile colony on the next page.

And if you are driving to Sloquet from the north...

Hi Pete and Jackie,
You may have been to Sloquet before and if so you might remember what I mean here; After driving all the way south along Lilloet lake and then Lilloet river, you will come to a bridge that crosses the river east to west. Very soon after this bridge is a right turn that goes back up the west side of Lilloet lake. Obviously, you don't want to go that way, at least not this weekend. So bear left and continue south but watch on your right and back a bit because, as I recall, the Sloquet turnoff isn't obvious if you are driving south because its a sharp switch back to the right. I think I have driven right past it twice, so keep an eye on the right wing mirror.

Mitch,
Adam put a map ( that you will recognise) at the Everything you need to know thread. Look here:

I think it will get everyone as far as Weaver Lake.
