aircon belt removal woes

Post by super7 »

Hello all,

My ps pump leaked and i am replacing my ps, alt and ac belt. I can get the ps belt of and alt belt loose.

The lower bolt on the aircon tensioner seems jammed, the top bolt is free.

Is there a secret to removing the aircon belt I am unaware of before I really pull on it.

Thanks,

Eric

Slacken off the pulley nut, undo the top nut and dont drop the bits, slide the pulley all the way down and try and get the belt off, if you really cant, the pulley bolt has a slider that sits in tbe slot that also stops it turning so you will have to press it into the slot while turning the nut to release it. Some spray might help.
