The city where I live has gone completely downhill. There's lots of folks with major drug addiction issues. And with that comes crimes. My van has been broken into twice over this past summer. The first time it happened I got lucky and forgot to lock my doors. The second time, I did have it locked, so they used a crow bar to rip the lock mechanism out of the drivers side door.
It wouldn't be a problem if this was a Dodge Caravan, but......
Anyway, I'm now in need of a new drivers side lock mechanism and a key if anyone has one out there they'd be willing to sell me. I'm hoping I can repair the door and install this new used part.
I'm also taking every single thing outta the van and leaving everything open, like the glove box and center console, so they can (hopefully) see there's nothing left to steal.
Please let me know if you have something in your parts stash.
With thanks,
Phil Stephenson

Re: Someone Brike Into My Van:(
Thanks for the reply deskinthewoods. I have Steven from Rising Sun looking into this for me. That's cool that delicaworks sells them new. I really only need one for the drivers door. And I don't even need the key as I switched to keyless entry years ago. I just need to fill in the hole in thr door where the old lock mechanism was. Right now,, it's too easy to get inside, only to steal nothing
