Hey guys,
So I've got a pretty massive road-trip coming up on Monday. We leave at 6am to San Francisco, and I'm in need of an oil change. I thought CVI was open today, so I kind of put it off most of the week.
I'm planning on doing it today, and am comfortable doing the oil change, but I'm not sure about the filter? Does it HAVE to be replaced with the oil change? Or is it just a good idea to? My last oil change was in may, about 4000km ago (I've been busy) and it was done at CVI
I'm not sure how much oil I'll need to buy, or what type. (diesel grade 15w30?) I'd love some help, and if anyone has some spare time today, I'm in Mount Pleasant. Give me a call, I've got some running around to do for the next couple hours.
Thanks!
James

Re: Oil Change.....help!
Done and DONE!
Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate the calls. Once again, the community has pulled through, it's truly a gem of a forum with a great bunch of people on it. I owe you all a beer!!!
So, $48 for the filter (Fram-PH6355) at Lordco and $58 at Jiffy Lube for 6.5L's of Semi-synth 15w40. I recommend going to the Jiffy Lube on Kingsway and 12th, ask for Allen. Just bring your filter and ask for Allen, he's a great guy and knows the L300.

Re: Oil Change.....help!
Wow! This was the most expensive oil change ever! A filter alone was a rip-off not to mention the quality... From the other hand you are ready for the trip!
