Japan Stock (amazing auto)

Post by iamleftcoast »

Hey guys,
I'm currently looking into buying my first Delica (and my first vehicle). I think I'm going to go with Amazing Auto Imports, as I live in Vancouver and have heard and read nothing but good things about Mardy and his service out there in Richmond.
I was just wondering, while browsing the Amazing Auto webiste, what exactly the "Japan Stock" means on certain vehicles. Some say they're part of the Japan stock while there is an asterisk in the corner stating that it's BC landed and registered. Does Japan stock just mean it's from Japan? does it mean it's en route? Does it mean something completely different?
Any information anyone could give me to make this process a little clearer is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Dewy

Hey Dewy,

I also spoke with Mardy several times on the phone, I think this is just his English. You'll notice a few other typos in his posts.

Japan Stock as I understand is his friends shop in Japan who holds them after they find and buy the good ones at auction.

I put a deposit on one, and jumped on here to find anyone who had dealt with Mardy or Amazing Auto before.

Ultimately he seems trustworthy, but who knows where or what the vehicle has been doing for 20 years :-D
