2000 V6 Delica 6g72 Head gasket job/kit

Mitsubishi Delica L400 production commenced in 1994 -- After much anticipation, the L400 arrived on Canadian Soil in 2009!

Is it possible to you to explain me or send a link on where I can see the year correlation of parts for my engine ?

I don’t want to bother you with more questions.

I guess what I want to know if the montero sport 95 was the last year that matched the delicate v6 up to 2002

thanks.

I looked up the Mitsubishi electronic parts catalogue the cylinder head gasket kit for your 2000 Delica Space Gear 3.0L, and it was MD973160. I then looked up the Mitsubishi electronic parts catalogue the Mitsubishi Montero 3.0L in North America to see if it used the same cylinder head gasket kit, and there it was. MD973160 was applicable from 6/1994 to 4/1995 for models outside California.

Now I know why, you were looking for the gasket KIT not just the individual headgasket , that is why I could not match the number...well now I know.

By checking the kit, you can check that many parts match instead of just one part. And it is Montero and not Montero Sport.

I found an interesting You tube video on when not to change the head gasket. It goes through, seemingly, all the tests you could do troubleshooting head gasket symptoms so you don't change it when not needed. Called "Schrodingers Box" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVn-IDi7da8
He also lists a bunch of "don't do this" to eliminate changing the gasket again.
There are a few different linked videos and they were a good education for me. Gotta love learning without reading manuals.

well I got the headgasket kit and a lot of gasket fit well but the headgasket does not match the water passages, some of the wholes are very small so now I'm wondering if is the correct one.
