I am wondering if anyone has the tool for holding the cam sprocket/ crank pulley while it's getting torqued and would be willing to lend/rent it for a day or two. I'm in Salmon Arm BC. Or if anyone has an idea of something that could be rigged up to work the same?

Cheers,

Dylan

Canadian Tire in Salmon Arm may loan tools. They do @ several other locations.

In a pinch you can use a strap wrench to hold the pulley. There is a pic of the proper tool but can't remember where I saw it on this site. Princess auto has a fan belt wrench that tightens or to its self. Use a proper torque wrench and torque to specs.
good luck

I have used an old timing belt to hold the sprocket in the past.... I suspect most timing belts are the same teeth spacing so a garage may have one in the garbage
