Usually I drive the RV (Greyhound conversion) or fly and rent an apartment. This year will be different. Very different...
10,000 kms plus side trips. Just had Butch check things out and change the fluids. Camperizing now and on the road Dec 5th. Back by Easter, maybe.
Hey Nootcase, I'll get your La Manzanilla spot ready...

Hi John, glad to hear you're still Delica-ing. Pablo and Anna are down there, on the east coast below Yucatan. Have a fun trip, I wish I were going. Cheers, Christine.

Hi DeliTan,
I take it this is the beginning of a trip documentation thread. Looking forward to your presentation.
Happy Trails!
Falco.

Re: DeliTan heads to Mexico
Made it home safe on Friday. I'm very glad Nootkase with Bob and Jackie made it down to MY beach again. They should be home soon.
Sorry Falco, not much of a report but a couple of things to note...
Total trip was about 10,400 kms
Average trip mileage 12.86 L/100 km (long wheelbase, loaded heavy). Overall mileage 12.19 L/100 km for 51,000 km since summer 09.
Probs:
Horn died then fixed itself, all doors needed lube, AC quit once I arrived at the beach (hot trip home).
Total brake failure when returning through Puerto Vallarta (cost me 2.5 hours and 2700 pesos or $220 CDN for 4 turned discs, full set of pads and a stuck caliper repair)

Good thing the brakes didn't fail in the states, that extremely reasonable bill in Puerto Vallarta would have been ridiculous north of the border. Glad you had a good trip :)
