Parts identifying
Okay,
this van is fairly new to me and without those beautiful Haynes black and white pics in their manuals, I wouldn't mind some help identifying all the ins and outs of the under carriage. I'm sure there will be many more to follow. Cheers for any help.

Re: Parts identifying
The first picture is your steering rack bellows boot. If it's been torn for any length of time, you will probably need to replace the inner tie rod end that it protects as well. The second picture is the top of your front shock. Hope that helps!
Re: Parts identifying
My steering boot was torn as well. I taped it up with electricians tape. That was a year ago and the tape hasn't come off. The linkage underneath was clean otherwise I would've changed or cleaned the joint too.

Re: Parts identifying
If you want a repair manual for these, there is something called a Russeks Manual that can be purchased. One can sometimes find them on eBay and there are some online bookstores that sell them also. I got one and it's been very helpful.

Re: Parts identifying
thanks all. what would be the availability and cost of the boot itself and or the whole shibang, tie rod end which hopefully comes with the boot as well? Thanks again.

Desmond,
Since you are in New West, do a search for Japanoid. They are on 12th , beside the Terminal Hotel.

Re: Parts identifying
you can just buy the new steering rack boot, or if the whole rack is shot, then thats also available and pretty reasonable.

Re: Parts identifying
Hi, I'm looking to replace the left and right steering rack boots on my 1992 L300, and I found this post in the search. I can't find the exact part #. I'm using Lordco in the Kootenays to find it, and these are the 3 #'s I have but I'm not sure which one is right for this model of Delica.
1. K8834
2. K9358
3. MK9358
any help would be greatly appreciated.
