Likely to purchase

Post by Louise »

Hello,
After much research we are most likely going to purchase a Delica for the two of us and our dog. We have a last concern and are wondering if someone on the forum has recommendations or info.

We live in North Van and would really like to have the vehicle serviced here. I see a referrral in this forum for RJD in North Van on Rupert St. off Mountain Hwy, but can't find any other info, either positive or negative.

Does anyone have any information on this or another facility on the North Shore?

Thanks, Louise

The reason I need to find a reliable repair shop is that if I can't, it will make it more difficult to own a delica and I really want to make it possible. Richmond and New West are kind of far away.

Thanks for the links. RJD sounds good from the comments.

Louise

Thanks, Louise

If you consider Richmond and New West being far away to get your potential Delica serviced then you should not buy it; there is a bunch of good mechanics in any area but once in a while you need service from a mechanic who is better with your Delica than any good mechanic close to you and there are only a few of them around. There is no way you can overturn this rule unless you become a Delica mechanic yourself. We are lucky to reside close enough to Richmond and Coombs; read some other posts to find out how Delica owners in other regions suffer from being FAR AWAY from Richmond and New West.
