Interest in a LHD Delica ?

Post by William »

Just posting here because I'm looking at sending a few LHD Delica's over in February and am wondering what kind of interest there would be for them. I can't find many L400's worth while just yet, so will probably be sticking with the L300's for now anyhow.

If anyone has any feedback on this I am all ears.

Thanks in advance.

Are these stock LHD or have they been converted? Also what is the trim level ie Super Exceed/Chamonix/L300?

thanks

They are stock LHD and for the trims will be working on all the details come January. I would assume that all will be available though.

That's interesting... i suppose they do not comply with European standards? We live in France and our L300 Delica is a commercial Long version from Holland. That would be interesting to know if recent Delicas could be imported in France. In holland, I think they stop to import them in 2002 (and very difficult to find) but I think in Taiwan they stopped much later, did they?

Petrol is available as well as diesel. Cost and trim levels I will have all figured out after the new year. Will post all applicable information when I have it.

Yes, please do.

I think in France, the most important things are: compliance with European norms for brake systems (handbrake included), Pollution, Rear vision, windows (with an European stamp on them).

For some reason I have only been able to find petrol L400's and very few in 1995 / January and earlier for that matter.... I'm sure as the year goes on though will be able to find something worthwhile importing in the L400 chassis.

I know Taiwan imported mostly RHD L400's and converted them once landed.

I've seen 2 in Canada already.

The conversions don't look too good (not original dash,wheel,etc...) but it works. Both are the V6 3L ones as well.

I haven't come across a single original L400 in LHD with the diesel 2.8

I would be interested to learn if they produced them and where they are.

If you can source the real LHD one's I'm certain you can sell them in Quebec since they axed RHD's.

Also my mom loves the L400 but won't drive RHD. If you can find genuine LHD's in diesel, I'm all ears as well. 8-)

I am just staring to look, but would be very interseted in seeing anything RHD, but will look at LHD in the Edmonton area. If you can reach out with pics and specs when you get them I would be grateful.
