Re: Interest in a LHD Delica ?
Okay a bit more information here. Seems that an automatic Delica is rare over there for some reason, but still can be found. Most are 5 speed models.
Price wise they're on average under 10K ( a few variables here ) all in you can get a nice Diesel L300 with around 150,000 Km's or less that has it's service records up to date on the road in Canada past customs, compliance, etc.
I'm heading overseas this Tuesday for a week, but once I get back will throw up some photos of the few that are getting sent over first.

Laura
ICBC has nothing to do with RHD vs. LHD. Those stories have long since dissipated.
There are many people I've come across since I've had RHD's over the last 6 years whom were in love with the diesel 4x4's but just didn't want RHD.
I still come across many today who would love a JDM in LHD.
For many reasons.
Partner, gf, wife, husband, kid, parent, etc... only feels comfortable driving LHD.
I have known many people who drove my RHD's and still didn't feel comfortable driving them.
RHD is not for everyone.
It's those people that LHD diesel delica's and JDM's would cater to.
It's good to see guys like Mardy and William going out of their way to source LHD JDM vehicles and import them.
There may not be a huge market for them, but people will buy them.

Re: Interest in a LHD Delica ?
Goodness no. I of anyone prefers RHD for sure. Just wanting to see if there is a market for it as so many have not open their minds to RHD. I bet at least 1-2 emails per day from people inquiring for a LHD vehicle out of Japan.

Thanks.
Our mantra has been "RHD is not a problem in Canada". Except that for some people, it is. I wouldn't want the wrong people to get the wrong idea about this.

Yes, and remember: When they tell you the wheel is on the "wrong" side of the vehicle, you tell them that it is on the "right" side of the vehicle.

It's got curtains on the front doors! Now that would be sweet for camping. Not so good for driving with windows down.
