Let's not get negative guys.

There's some good point that some people benefit from owning or selling these RHD and it's nice to see them getting involve in preserving our rights.

At some point we have to work on trust. The person who started this process is well respected in the RHD community and it's good enough for me. Why, 'cause it's just too easy to find excuses not to get involved and at some point when someone trusted shows initiative he deserves our support. Let's keep it simple and help out.

So far Delica.ca has a min. of $420 donated, not bad but the potential hasn't been unleashed!

Thanks!

$500 that is! :-D

Just an update. I understand that some people have concerns about sending money to someone they don't know the background.

We came to a better option by simply sending the money directly to IVOAC who will send the money as needed for the cause in Quebec. Make sense?

If people don't have paypal account or don't know how to send their contribution I can do it on the club's behalf. I'm sure regulars on this forum will attest of my integrity... :-D
In any case, I'll update on how to contribute directly to IVOAC once it's finalized.

Thanks!

I'm in on this cause as well! Our Delica community should have every right to own, drive and enjoy this SAFE and AWESOME vehicles. I've recently been testing a '94 Royal Exceed Space Gear LWB and it's a great ride!!

Count me in for $250. How about organizing a huge motorcade with all the RHD vehicles with the banners and all...supporting this cause??! That should stir up something?? What do you think??....

Now we're talking!

Thanks Butch, thanks Mardy for your commitment and all! You guys are great! (but we already knew that!!!)

I'd be all in for such a show, any excuse to get together (RHD) is a good one but even better if it's to protect our beloved vehicles!

Wow! Over $750, who would have thought! :M :M :M all the way!

Thanks again to everyone!

Took the words out of my mouth David! Now we're talking! :-D A show is a great idea. I'm planning one here in Alberta for June and would possibly make a trip down to BC to attend another if it gets organized.

Heard about your generous community and though I could come say hello!!! :-)

Thanks to all who donated!

Very soon (maybe now!?) you will be able to donate to the IVOAC instead of me directly!! I am getting a little bit too many e-mails and it's hard to keep track of everything! It's very time consuming. It will be easier for me that way. I or somebody from the IVAOC will probably post the information soon!

I can't wait to be in court and see their faces!!! It will be worth every penny! :-D

No, the 'ban' specifically targets private RHD vehicles between 15-25 years old. There are exemptions for RHDs that are used in the service of the public, are over 3000kg, and vehicles over 25 years of age. There are other exemptions, but those are a couple of the key ones that are intended to keep us from driving RHDs in la Belle Province.

Beside, Canada Post primarily doesn't use RHDs and is now finding that is a bit of an issue on the rural routes: the drivers (in their LHD vehicles) cross the centre-line to the mailboxes on the other side of the road, lean out the window to place the mail, and then pull out into traffic (or are clipped while they're on the wrong side of the road facing the wrong way). Or they get a ticket from the wandering Mountie who happens down said rural road. Why do they do this illegal manuevre? Because the postal worker is not covered by Canada Post if they exit the vehicle to place the mail!

Just about $800, well done fellows!

I've challenged the RHD Toyota owners on IH8MUD... we should challenge more clubs as well! 8-)

I've challenged a few other RHD clubs... (Toyota especially), seems like it woke them up as money started coming right away!

If anyone thinks of other RHD clubs don't hesitate to get them moving as well...
