My family and I are definitely keen on the Ambleside idea Sunday afternoon (would like to see some of your delicas, even if I don't presently have one of my own to contribute).

We're working around nap-time schedules for the kids, so it likely would have to be after 2:30ish...

And a Black Bear Pub function would be cool too (as Brett pointed out, it is within walking distance for me!)

Yes hopefully lots show up :-)

It sounds like we are meeting at ambleside around noon? or a bit later in a few cases? and hanging out there, then heading up to lynn valley to the black bear at some point for refreshments.

Google Maps doesn't know where Ambleside is, so:

Highway 1 to Taylor Way exit.

South on Taylor Way (down the hill) to Marine Drive.

Right on Marine Drive. Continue past Park Royal shopping centre.

Ambleside is the first park on the left between you and Burrard Inlet.

If you get to 15th Street you've gone too far. Turn back.

GPS (main parking lot): 49 19.56 N, 123 9.07 W

...laura, hoping the forecast deluge doesn't happen

Hmm. It's 9:30AM Sunday morning, and its raining pretty hard in North Vancouver... Unless it becomes a full-fledged monsoon, I'm still planning to pop over to Ambleside this afternoon with the kids (probably around 2:30ish after nap time). What are others folk thinking?

I'm out for this one, but will watch for rescheduling to next weekend if others interested.
Passed you on the Sea to Sky about 3:00pm Coax...I think - looked like yr truck anyway from photos - you heading North at that time? My friend was driving I was on passenger side and waved at you - got nabbed by Mounties in Squish with a 2 week expired license (just procrastinated on renewal)....first ticket in over 10 years...damn!
