Weekend in Waterton

Dee and I went down to Waterton park this past weekend to see if we could climb some ice. The town is buried in snow! It all blows off the lake and piles up in town.

I tried driving through some big drifts and if I had been going just a bit faster......

I think I'm a bit crazy but this is starting to seem like fun!

We did manage to find some ice to climb before heading back to Calgary on Sunday.

Nice pics. I said OHH out loud when I saw the ice. What climb is that?

3.8 km up the road to Cameron lake on the right side is this climb. A 5 minute walk. "Quick and Dirty" is the name. I would rate it as a very stiff WI3. The ice screws were being affected by the sunshine and the ice is pretty darn soft. A week of this weather and it will be done. Another k up the road is the climb "Experts Choice", a fantastic climb but I'm no expert and it is a bit much for me.

Oh yeah, the climb on the left is "French Kiss" 45 meters WI 3 and the climb on the right is "Quick and Dirty" 80 meters WI 3+.

Wow very beautiful! A friend of mine went to Italy once and sent me photographs from there. He first went skiing to Valle d'Aosta, and then went to Rome to look at the ancient ruins under the sun. It's interesting that one country has such a different climate. By the way, he was looking for information about Italy on the website italyweloveyou

In our city, too, quite often it snows so much in winter. And I work as a taxi driver in Uber and it can be very problematic to get from one place to another. Sometimes it even happens that the client cannot go to the car due to a large amount of snow and cancels the order. On such days I try not to go on routes, but I need to earn money. I am glad that uber customer service is working and often solves most of the problems that arise during work.
