Hi Everyone,

My steering wheel is squeaking when I turn. It sound seems to be coming from the top of the steering wheel column. It doesn't happen all the time, usually in the mornings, and its been getting worse lately. Is there somewhere where I can put some lube or oil to help stop the squeaking?

Thanks,

Sam

Its probably the horn contact tab/ring. there is a tab on the steering column which maintains contact with a contact ring on the underside of the steering wheel to ground out the horn... look up at the base of the steering wheel and you will see what i mean. a shot of wd 40 or similar should fix er up.

Not sure that WD40 wont act as an insulator and prevent your horn from working.

use dielectric grease or silicone spray
