Hey
I just bought a '92 super exceed. Havn't been able to insure it yet, but I've already logged about 3 hrs just parked in my driveway! Hopefully can roll the wheels this weekend. Look forward to seeing you all on the road - around Victoria and wherever I can escape to. I'll be the one with the shiteatin grin.
For those still looking... Check out Noel at enviro imports. Great guy with heaps of knowledge on delicas. Quick to respond and only deals the best quality.
See ya around

the more the merrier indeed , the more deli's in vic the less people asking me questions although more delicas means more interest so its probably a rub

Welcome, I'm in vic too. I say if there are more Deli's the the better the availability of parts and service options will get I would think.

what do you mean by "Havn't been able to insure it yet" and " good luck getting your beast insured"? is icbc making this difficult for people? or is it just that you're doing the safety modifications yourself?? i am currently looking to buy a delica and obviously don't want any extra hassles. when buying from a dealer can you generally just drive right off the lot? if the vehicle is already insured here is atransfer of ownership a problem?

If already insured by someone here than buying it is like buying any other BC car, I had no issues getting the safety or the insurance. Marigold was able to do the inspection in a day, and the insurance took like an hour as I used the place that Marigold uses so they know what to do (Barton).

Hi, when you buy delica from someone they should arrange all of this paperwork, so the buyer dont need to have those hassle.
usually its just thru good communication to sort it out.
Cheers:

I havn't logged in for awhile and I sorry but I think I may have got some people scared. The reason I couldn't insure my delica is that I needed to sell my old car first - financial reasons. Once I did, it was no problem getting insurance, and I've enjoyed every second driving since. Never thought I would be on of those guys who drives, with no particular place to go:)

i'm just an overcautious potential buyer... we are giving up our beloved volvo 850 to buy a delica and i'm kinda worried... 4x4 diesel 7 passenger reliable van!!?? usually if something seems too good to be true...it is.

Man, I know EXACTLY what you mean! I keep trying to figure out why I keep needing to fill up even with 600 Km per tank, then I remember, "Oh yeah, I take the extrmely long way home just because the van is so nice to drive!!)
