I like the spoiler but it is making the ferry ride expensive, I'm considering removing it but probably wont, it looks too nice. The other cheap option is to keep a compressor in the van and air down the tires before getting on the ferry and then back up after. I could look at putting the spoiler on a hinge or something too, that would be cool, maybe even a motor and have it come down with power!
edit: oh and I do realize that the racks are higher but those come off easy.
and Props to Japan Road Trip, they where great and to deal with and I couldn't be happier unless marigold called and said that the registration was finished :)

Spoiler aside, it looks identical to my late delica (rest her soul). Nice ride. I'll trade you my low roof manual to have one it again!

I think so too, I will get some better pics of it on the weekend assuming it passes tomorrow.

how was the compliancing prrocess? after having done it, woudl you recommend doing it this way or using a dealer whose vehicles have already been altered to canadian standards? ow much did it cost to make the upgrades to pass inspection at marigold?
i am also in victoria and looking for a delica... thinking of jrt or max overdrive or buying from mardydelica on this site...

Going by the prices of the MANY Deli's I've looked at on the net both complianced and not I would say it is worth it to do it yourself, the importing I don't know about but the rest was simple and cheap. Marigold took care of everything and it was cheap, I ended up, after taxes and everything, paying less for the deli than I had just sold my 2000 Subaru Impereza wagon with 220K on it for. I was in a rush as well as I had no vehicle and needed to pick up people at the airport on the weekend and so on so I could have likely shaved $300-$500 off the price by getting the lights and DLR relay and what ever else and doing the work my self.
the long and the short of it, I would go with a non complianced one any day of the week , but it comes right down to price and quality in the end, and you need to figure in realistic costs for either method.
