Hello everyone;

I am the newbie to the list. My friend Krackie is a member here, yes he is suitably cracked like the rest of you who drive cool vehicles meant for the other side of the road. Speaking of being on the other side of the road, I am way into making alternative fuels and can show you how to help save the environment, save some cash, and get some outrageous horsepower increases with some ridiculously simple modifications to a turbodiesel engine using biodiesel and part of the waste stream from the process of making the fuel. A double whammy! I get such a kick from this. Anyhoo I'm glad to be joining this list. Jim tells me there is some interest in having me come out to the lefty coast and do a little show and tell, in fact I guess he has already asked for a show of hands. I am stoked about the idea. So If this is the case we should talk about it and find out what people's expectations are vs my perspective on how it should go and take it from there?

Yeah as I posted... I would be stoked to have a bio-diesel making and processor building workshop.. Maybe build one over the weekend (or couple of week-days)?? Im on the mainland and would love a workshop here, but i've got alot of buddies in Victoria that I could justify a trip over there if I had too.

The other big question I guess is cost?? Date?? Im in if its reasonable and works with my fairly flexable calender.

I am in. I live on the island so I would prefer over here but my mom lives in Vancouver so I could just as easily go over there. What kind of dates are you thinking Joe? Sooner the better for me. (Our baby is due mid-March)

In terms of expectations, I guess it depends on what we can acheive in a weekend and also what you think are the fundamentals to learn and get us going with our homebrews. I suppose you would know what is achievable since you have held workshops before, right? I would think -> build a processor with explanations of what each part does and why and walk us through a test batch. Is that feasible?

I think 2 factors that will determine where it is, is going to be number of people and a location we can do it in.

Looking forward to it.

Ok well we should probably move this discussion into the biofuel area. I posted here in the general section a greeting since it was my first post on this list.
I'll start a new thread over there called biofuel seminar and answer the questions in it.

Cheers
