Thought these would be easy. Went to Canadian tire $25.00. Do not use with Mitsubishi stamped right on the front. Grrr. Napa says theirs is exactly the same in a different box (doesn't say no Mitsubishi) $99.00. When I told him the price at Can Tire he said he could let it go for $56.00. Not convinced I should try it though.
Anyone with first hand knowledge?

I installed the Canadian Tire ones that said "Do Not Use with Mitsubishi." There was no problem with the installation or functioning. :D

Hi Mark
Is your delica a diesel?
I was told those modules require a feed from a sparkplug wire for juice and so won't work with a diesel.

david, if you still need that place to get the vehicle passed let me know as my friend here on the island just did it in nanaimo, no running lights or modifications what so ever. the mechanic just checked the brakes, muffler, etc. like with both of mine and passed them.

My (former) delica is a diesel -- the $25 Canadian Tire DRL kit can install to either a gasoline or diesel.
There is a one-page instruction sheet that comes with the DRL kit which explains the installation on either gas or diesel. In the case of a gasoline vehicle, the feed wire connects to the sparkplug. In the case of a diesel the feed wire connects to the oil pressure switch.

I came across the same thing today. I have a 91 Deli I drove bought from a guy in Calgary, but I need to get the DRL installed. Can. Tire's version does say not for Mitsubishi, so I went to Napa looking for filters ($29 minimum) and a DRL kit. $80 plus taxes.
The kits says "not for use in vehicles with the headlight switch on the ground side of the circuit", and they don't specify gas or diesel feed locations.
I'm taking this back and getting the Can. Tire version today!

Grote produces a universal DRL unit that is a simple three wire installation and uses the low beam headlamps . Also can be used on gas or diesel . Can be found at any Lordco / Napa store . We can install daytime running lights on any Delica for $60 plus parts. Also we can install illuminated side marker/reflector lamps to meet DOT regulations.

DRL kit not required

Got my VIN plate installed, inspected and insured - finally!! The VIN plate only took two days from Vancouver - miracles do happen.
I asked my inspector/mechanic to install the DRL kit, which ended up not being necessary. He made some connections to the fusebox, soldered, fused correctly, so when the key is in the on position, the headlights come on. 1/2 hour job, $5 for parts. It works well.
I was required to install a high-mount brake light... got the 12" LED version for about $95, plus installation (1.4 hours).

Where is the oil pressure sensor found that I should connect to? I didn't see it near the block or oil filter.
