Lights...

Just a couple of questions,
My daytime running lights are no longer working, is this a problem? I seem to get conflicting advice, some say not an issue, some say they must be working.
Also I really find the lights not very bright when driving at night. Can this be fixed? Also, can we run the cool yellow fog lights at night when driving on the road?
Thanks in advance,
Dana

No conflicting advice. You MUST have daytime driving lights on your Delica or you can get pulled over/fined/towed.

Do you have E-code headlights (will say E-xx on the headlights) ? If so, you can get higher wattage bulbs for it.

Yes and no. They are soft but wide so they will catch the oncoming traffic. I only use them if it's really foggy, but in my opinion, the stock yellow's don't really achieve anything except for more distraction in front of you.

If you turn you light switch one position (on the signal wand), you will have running lights. You have to be responsible and do it yourself but you will be legally operating with running lights.

Thanks Falco,
I have tried that but I still have no lights unless I turn the wand all the on. I wonder if there is more going on then just issues with the DRL module?
I phoned Glenn this morning and we have an appointment for next week, so until then I will just have to turn my lights on while I'm driving, and hope I remember to turn them off when I turn the van off

Posted on this previously in the forum with data to back it up. What made a huge difference for me was bypassing the tired old whimpy stock Delica harness and replacing the wiring with decent 10 guage wire that could feed the modern bulbs the amperage they need. I can't comment on the light pods as I ended up getting e4 coded Depot lights anyway, but as noted, previous posts also indicate the e13 pods weren't very good.
