Temperature gauge wiring??

Ok after all of the discussions on the temp gauge... I started to look into mine.. :o
ours never reads above the 1/10 th mark so i wanted to check the gauge and wiring.
I see that the head has 2 probes in it.. one is 2 wire an done is single wire.

I would imagine that the 2 wire one is a temp probe and the singe one is a temp switch/ alarm..
is this correct.
At any rate the 2 wire one has voltage on it but the single has nothing.

Our truck at idle has reaches only 155 F so the thermostat is opening much to soon.

are my assumptions correct?

Thanks
Dylan H

As the general consensus appears to be that I do not know what I'm talking about, and cause more harm than good, I am removing this post so that others are not tricked in to following my ill-advised instructions.

I don't have a part number, but I can recommend talking to coombs country autos or rocky mountain imports, either of them can probably help you out.

I believe the single wire sensor disables the air conditioning compressor clutch if the engine temp gets too high.
