Has anyone used an oil pan heater for their van?
I am looking at getting a magnetic heater that sticks to the bottom of the oil pan. 200w
Cheers

The 'cold' oil at the bottom of your engine is definitely an issue, but the greater issue is the cold oil that is trapped between the pistons, around the valves, etc. If this oil is warm (like when heated with a block heater), the lubricity is where it is needed most: right near the parts that are trying to move during that initial turnover.
The pan heaters are for those who want a quick and easy way of 'heating' their engine block, but it generally doesn't have the desired effect.
Get a block heater.
