Hello,

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a mechanic with some Delica experience in Vancouver - preferably west side.

I think it's my starter.

thanks all.

Hello RJD,

That's funny because I take my Delica to RJD for service. They are in North Van so maybe not very convenient for you. They have a guy named Nathan from dan undah that has serviced a lot of Delis, (though not many right side up). Between him, Richard and Lorne, they can fix anything but you have to really need it fixed. They aren't hungry for business.

On the west side there was...I don't know where to look for them now ... wait a sec...

These guys are legendary in Vancouver and right across the country. They aren't the cheapest but in my experiance they have never fixed anything twice. They aren't Deli specialists but they are dead straight and each of them really knows cars. Really knows cars. Really.

When I need anything major done, injector pump rebuild, head gasket etc. I'd take my Deli back to Shinji Oue at Abbotsford Japan Auto, where I bought the car. Again, he isn't cheap and he's not even fast but he gets the job done exactly right. He is a Mitsubishi factory guy and the factory shop manual is the book he goes by. He's expensive but he's slow. Oh yeah! Shinji can get almost anything, parts wise. He got me a beautiful Stanless steel exhaust system. He had a clutch and pressure plate in stock. He has factory filters, lights, gaskets etc. on the shelf.

I'd have to agree with Brett. And to top it all off Shinji is kind and honest as well! Great work from a great guy. (And that is being said from someone who didn't buy his Delica there!)
