Sorry about my complete lack of knowledge but I'm know NOTHING about cars.

I bought my delica last year, it is a 95 spacegear super exceed lwb automatic with the little windows in the roof and have a couple of questions.

Some git drove into the front bullbars last week and bent it right forward so it is just back from the insurance today with a brand new bull bar and plastic thingy over it they have given it her 1st wash since I got her so I have a new found want to sort all the little niggly things.

It was imported in 2003 so all the mileage dial etc had already been done when I bought her. the clock in still in K's but the dial is in MPH with the inner circle showing KPH however it seem to be wrong when I am doin 70ish the sat nav (and friends cars who are following) show approx 60. what can be done about this?

Also I read somewhwere in here that the fuel tank is 75 ltr yet when I fill it when is shows empty it only take £50 worth so is the tank smaller than 75ltr or is my dial all wrong, in which case how can I sort it?

my dip stick is snapped and sone nice chap on here offered me one but I hadn;t posted enough to be able to send a PM so I will ask again when I am allowed to PM.

I think that is it for the moment, all help would be massively appreciated. Whilst my car was being fixed they gave me a brand new chysler grand voyager, bloody horible thing, so chuffed to get my deli back. Very Happy

We don't have many L400's here yet, so it might take some time for an answer to your fuel tank capacity.

On our L300's the automatics have 2 separate tanks totally 75 litre, but the manuals only have 1 tank total 60 litre. They both have a huge reserve area after the low fuel indicator is on, but most of us would not trust the fuel indicator.

As to your odometer accuracy, our L300's are usually accurate with normal tyres (min is about 3 percent under as we have larger tyres). But we don't need to alter the odometers here in Canada, as we are in kilometer same as Japan. Someone did post last year how to undo the odometer housing to replace the dashboard lamps.

I suggest you send a PM Private Message via this website to MardyDelica (local dealer here in BC) or MysteryMachine (in England) as they are the only people I know with L400 knowledge.

What Falco said but the opposite. Smaller tires = higher reading on the speedo and bigger tires = lower reading on the speedo.

With regards to the fuel tank capacity there are two size on the L4 one being 75 litre the other 50 the latter is mainly found on the 2wd 2.5 diesel models which sits alot lower than the 4wd variant

I run 235/75r15's on mine and my gps is tells me I am about 10% slower than the speedo. The proper tyre size is 225/80r15 but over here they are almost impossible to source so the majority of people run the same size as I or 30x9.5/15
