was invited to join by a imported over there who had a lovely looking L4 all lifted etc a few months ago and thought I'd take a look.
Looks like you guys have a fairly limited choice with L3's being the norm and some L4's making appearances here and there nowadays.
I have a Black / Silver LWB Super Exceed which I love to bits and have done a couple of mods but a lot of work before she is great.
Judge for yourselves and be good to get some feedback from over there.

Hi Chris, Welcome. PLEASE continue to contribute to our group, as we have little experience here with L400's so many questions go unanswered. Currently, 2 people have posted asking about block heaters, they live in Calgary Alberta which gets very cold. Can you research into your group contacts to ask if anyone knows if there is a part of the engine block which contains a bit that one drills out and inserts the electric heating device into which keeps the oil in the lower engine warm all night when it is plugged in the house mains AC power. I know it doesnt get so cold in England, except when the Siberian wind shifts happen, but Nottingham is north so maybe some people have considered block heaters.
By the way, yes, your van looks very Cool, all the black looks good ... looks like a "Proper Delica" L300; the few L400's I have seen are monocolours like green -- don't look as Tough.

Well thanks for the welcome. If I can help in anyway I'll try but not a great mechanic
to be honest the block heater is something I've never heard off as it never gets that cold. The worst we get is lumpy starts as the gloplugs start breaking down.
Please feel free to fire any questions etc and where I can I'll pass on my experiences
I see Bruce has been on for a while so the L3s are well covered

Cheers and welcome! I am coming up to my first 24 hrs with my L400, so I have nothing to add yet as far as mechanical things are concerned. I am quite lucky as my dealer, Mardy, revamped all the fluids, Rad upgrade, etc etc, the whole meal-deal.

Is Bruce okay? Anybody watch the uk-forum? Has he made appearances there?

I think I'm right in saying Bruce is a busy boy right now and has been quiet on MDOC for about a year. I know he had a few projects on the car motor wise which maybe the reason but I am sure he'll be back
L400 are starting to die off over here now as the exchange rate is so poor and parts coming in from HK is getting beyond reach for many myself included....and you guys seem to be getting some corkers being imported into CA most of which so far I've fallen for.
A beautfil L400 LWB in white lifted and clean as a whistle superb.
Just one thing guys.. Watch out for the rear chassis above the bump stops they are prone to getting punctured and not repaired for some reason I've had to have a "C" section welded in to restore the strength on mine and it isn't uncommon.
In fact as a rule over here if you fit a Ironman or ProComp 2" lift kit we all cut them down to stop the damage from occuring.
Also watch ou for the dreaded fuel seals problem with them stalling after a few hundred yards.. Not a huge job but it has been know for dealers to rip people off for the work involved. Parts cost £20 sterling approx but dealers have been charging upto £1100 sterling.
