Hi All, Please join in and welcome John "White Mule" of Calgary at a Meet Up Monday 31 August 2009. 6PM TO 7PM at Princess Auto in Coquitlam (just across the highway from IKEA Coquitlam, grab your fast food at IKEA or the McD's).

Short notice, but please stop by if just for a few minutes to say Hi. Help us show John what a BC Meet looks like, especially since the Calgary record number of vehicles at their meets is 6 (six only) vehicles. Hah, we had 16 at Friday's meet by the way.

All vehicles welcome, Pajeros, Delicas, anything, right hand or left hand drive.

After that John is travelling around Vancouver Island and gulf islands for 2 weeks, if anyone has ideas for places to visit or stay, please post or PM to John (or PM me for his cell#).

Too bad I couldn't make it tonight. Hope it went well! I look forward to the nxt one.

If white mule is looking for sweet spot - make sure he hits tofino ( is it obvious I'm a surfer? :D haha) and be sure to hit "sobe's" for lunch and "tofitian coffee house" in the morning while your there. Also be sure to drop in to the best surf shop in town - long beach surf. Bill and his crew are awesome and will for sure help him get in the water if that's what he's after.

One other spot to see is Hornby island. Awesome for some downtime on the beach and lots of country roads to park and sleep. And be sure to hit the market. That's always a good time!

I could point out that Calgary only has about 18 Delica owners who are on the forum, so 6 is a 30% show-up rate, which I'll wager is significantly higher than most Vancouver-area meets achieve.
