How'bout a mini meet? IKEA Coquitlam anybody? Thurs, Jan 13?

Hey everybody - happy New Year...
Camping is unfortunately not in the books for me right now (January... too cold and wet here in the lower mainland)... but a mini meet certainly would be fun...
Haven't been to one recently and I really would like to chat again about Deli's, Pajero's and related stuff with some knowledgeable and interesting people!
Would anybody be around in the evening of Thursday, January 13th to meet starting around 6:00pm at the Ikea in Coquitlam (or another suggestion?)...
This could be the first Mini Meet of 2011....
Cheers,
Chris

I haven't heard too much about this meet recently. Are we still on for tomorrow?

I have convinced my wife that a trip to Ikea on Thursday night is in order. And she agreed (it wasn't a hard sell). Will there be anyone there with a WVO conversion? I wouldn't mind doing a little brain-picking.

I will endeavour to make this one, although my time will be limited, as I will craftily be in three places at once ~ so if I appear a little slow it's because the smarter third is going to be at a radio meeting in North Van. The dexterous third is painting doors in Burnaby.

Look forward to it... if it rains (which it most certainly will) we could meet in the covered part of the parkade... just in case someone shows up and drives around outside, looking for Delis... I'll be there probably around 6:30 (unfortunately I won't be able to make it earlier - due to work and commute...)
Cheers,
Chris

Will the undrground parking be high enough for some of the Delica's? Mine is 7.5 feet with the rack and some people have lifts on top of that.

Yes, IKEA Coquitlam handles overheight Delica's, The parkade is over 8 feet high (my detailed entrance routes below).
Note: Camping trip this weekend to Chilliwack, Wayne will be finalising details tonight for what to bring and where we go.
Ooohh Ikea is so cool, tall parking and yummy cinnamon buns and cheap meals. And boring spouses get to go shopping.
2 choices for entrance for high vans. One choice is from Lougheed Hwy, best when headed east ie from Braid freeway exit or from Burnaby. Do not turn down the road before IKEA, your best entrance is just PAST the Ikea building, just go slow in right lane and your lane goes into their parking area. Follow this little roadway until stop sign in the parking lot, look directly ahead of your stop sign to see if we're parked outside, or look directly right of stop sign to see if we're underneath building.
Other entrance choice, best if heading west on Lougheed, ie from Fraser Valley, Drive just barely past IKEA in the left lane, turn left at the traffic lights, now follow road as it curves left past IKEA, do NOT enter until the last entrance just at the far east end of the building. Follow entranceway, veering to right side of parking area thus following road that hugs fence. We park outside just here, or else proceed ahead to where we enter underbuilding from the east side.
Christine.

Since I am the first one home from this meet I will say - Thank You!!!
Nice to meet fellow Deli-lectarians or whatever it is we call ourselves.
Looking forward to more - especially when I can hang a little longer. 4:30am comes early.
Enjoy all!!!
