I saw one delica with those engine installed, brings back the life. if you can afford it & love your van, can not go wrong.

hyundai engine are almost same quality as mitsu engine, if you are getting all new pump injector, timing belts etc, better to go with a new one rather than fixining. initially you will spend a bit more but in the long run it will be beneficial considering you are keeping the pajero for a while.

what is the engine code? any maintenance done such as timing belt, wp, brrakes, fluids?

Looks nice but performance will be very sloppy, no power, poor braking unless brake is upgraded.

Mardy's shop can rebuilt your pump but it's probably a $500-$600 job. A lot of them have started leaking on these older buses so might be a good idea anyway. i called one shop (dealer for shocks and off road equipments in North Van), they are not heavy duty, they are gas charged, gas charged don't mean they are heavy duty. you may verify with them. they are selling them for $42 per piece FYI ($168 a set)

I don't know any dealers that will sell a vehicle not having it in stock. if there is, I would stay away from them. one of my friend told me that bc delaer authority closed down jdm wholesale due to their unethical business practice such as taking money in advance to sell a delica that is not even making into canada for few months. lots of customer complaints.
